I’ve never owned a domain before. It always seemed way too complicated. Why own a domain when you can have your own livejournal, right? That hasn’t stopped me from wanting one though even though I lack coding skills to create my own themes. I’ve attempted having subdomains before but I always ran back to Livejournal. Maybe I will still run back to livejournal even after owning my own domain, but I won’t know until I try.

So what started me on buying this domain? At a message board I frequently post at, a girl was offering out free domain names that she didn’t want anymore. I have no knowledge of how to run a site but man, did I want one of her domains. After talking to her about my idea for the domain, she gave it to me and told me she wanted to co-author with me. I was excited but then I never heard from her again. That diminished my interest in that domain but that didn’t stop me from wanting my own domain. After talking to Angel, she encouraged me to buy my own domain…and further peaked my interest by giving me the promo code for Godaddy’s $1.17 special for one year. Well…I like a good deal as much as anyone else so here I am! This site is also hosted by Angel who is a wonderful host if you are looking for hosting.

As for wonderlusts, you wonder? Angel of the oh so creative names came up with that one for me when Dreamwidth came out. I needed a good user name and I wanted wanderlust but that was taken so she came up with wonderlust which stuck and I really like it. So when I starting thinking about names for this site, it’s the first that popped out at me [except wonderlust was taken so hence the 's']. It’s fitting for me.

Won-der-lust. (noun). A made up word defined as the desire to explore life’s mysteries.

And do I ever have that desire!
