How I fly when I’m with you

I love carnivals. I love atmosphere, the rides, the people watching, the food, everything about it. Just a good ole time for everyone involved!

So Jon and I hit up the Schnecksville Community Fair…in Schnecksville (I love saying Schnecksville – feels like there should be a lot people thing schnecking!) after browsing online to see if any of the local communities had a fair going on (Lower Milford’s starts tomorrow and I’m hoping we can go as we went I think 2 years ago and it was fun). It still amazes me after all my time going to and from Allentown and surrounding areas that the type of people who live inside the city are vastly different than the ones who live 5-10 minutes outside of the city. World of difference especially if you’re a white girl who’s very used to diversity and you go to places like Schnecksville and start counting how many minorities you can find (I found 2 Asian people and that was it).

Anywho so we wandered about sipping a shared lemonade (freshly made!), talking, visiting the petting zoo/4-H animals (OMG cows, sheep, goats, and baby chickens = love! I wish we had petting zoo type stuff close by me!) playing games (Jon, I discovered, could easily have a Skeeball addiction!), looking at all the different stands (I was surprised by the Redskins gear that you could win and the fact is I kinda want a McNabb jersey now that he’s playing for Washington!), and riding the rides. Well I rode 2 – the swings (which I adore) and one that you’re fenced in and it spins you in a circle. I also got Jon to go with me on the ride similar to a roller coaster except it goes backwards and fowards and they blare extremely loud music (I never remember the names of rides). Oddly enough, going on the ride I was much more worried about his stomach and how he’d react but I didn’t consider how I’d react since I do not get motion sickness ever. That being said, tonight was the first time and it could have been a combination of riding 2 rides that spun around within 5 minutes of each other before getting on this one or the fact that I’m getting old (GASP I’m almost 25!) but I was not a fan of this ride! I didn’t get sick but I came close to it :(

Jon also won me a stuffed purple monkey and a little pug stuffed animal :)

Tomorrow the zoo to see me some penguins!

I’m in a bit of a mood right that I don’t want to get into at the moment (needless to say if certain people were in front of me, I’d punch them in the face right now) so rather than being depressing and ranty (that can be saved for another day), I’m sticking to my plan which I’ve been excited about all day and that’s the EMB prompt to write a list of 10 (or in my case because I kept writing 30) things that you love about your significant other (or any one else if one wanted to).

So this is dedicated to my doofuslove (who I love because he lets me call him such things as buttface and doofuslove as terms of endearment lol) and in no particular order.

What I love about my doofuslovebuttfaceloverhead aka Jon. By me:

1. I love how he taps on my nose and it can instantly bring a smile to my face even when I don’t think I can smile.
2. I love how he holds me and wipes away my tears when I feel like my world is falling apart.
3. I love that when I’m with him, I can forget the world.
4. I love him because he knows the worst about me and yet accepts me regardless.
5. I love how he scrunches up and laughs when he’s tickled … and it cracks me up to tickle him even though I know I’ll never win a tickle fight with him!
6. I love how he thinks of things that I would be interested in seeing (i.e. going to the Lehigh Valley Zoo hopefully next week because there’s penguins!) or wants to share experiences with me (i.e. Going to the Caps/Habs playoff game).
7. I love him because even though I know he’d be perfectly content not traveling much, that he’ll consider traveling with me!
8. I love how sexy he looks when he’s dressed up or when he’s decked out in a Flyers t-shirt and shorts or in a work uniform or nothing at all!
9. I love that that I can be open with him about anything sexual and he’s not running for the hills. Seriously a very important issue for me.
10. I love that he squeezes my boobies in the morning to wake me up. My morning is not complete without a booby squeeze.
11. I love that I can IM him screaming in capital letters WHY THE FUCK WAS HALAK TRADED AND WHY THE FUCK IS CAREY PRICE NOW NUMBER ONE? and he understands (and no I’m not a Habs fan but I’m still in shock!).
12. I love that he’s a huge Flyers fan and shares his love of hockey with me and is willing to explain all the nuances of hockey to me.
13. I love that we can watch Glee, Hell’s Kitchen, True Beauty, and Weeds together.
14. I love how he sings along to Avril Lavigne and Billy Joel (especially Avril Lavigne) and will sing along (and dance) to Single Ladies!
15. I love that he knows how to dance along to the Hoe Down Throw Down!
16. I love how he bites his lip when he’s dancing; I love how he holds me when we’re slow dancing.
17. I love how he sings – he has such a nice voice!
18. I love that if instead of me answering what? I’ll answer ma? and he knows what I mean!
19. I love despite it sometimes bordering on the extremely offensive, his sense of humor – I know I’m in for a laugh :)
20. I love how he tells me I’m gorgeous even when I don’t believe it (and I don’t believe it but I do like hearing it!)
21. I love his hugs, his cuddles, his kisses, and of course the boinking ;) Oh the boinking ;)
22. I love how he makes me happy and look forward to the future.
23. I love how he has to fall asleep at night to movies.
24. I love how he’s so into documentaries – I wish I could get more into them.
25. I love that he’ll listen to me and is there for me when I need him even if he’s 3 hours away.
26. I love how amazingly smart he is even though he doesn’t always think he is.
27. I love how silly we can be with each other.
28. I love that he’s comfortable enough with himself that he doesn’t care what others think.
29. I love that he’s my best friend as well as my lover and my boyfriend.
30. I love how how his love has made me into a better person.

Ok I actually feel much better after typing this out than I did before I started writing!
